I'm attending The 29th Annual Muse Awards for Vision and Achievement Gala Luncheon today. It's a glamorous luncheon, honoring prominent film and television personalities and a highlight of my year.
This year's honorees include:
America Ferrera, actor
Julianna Margulies, actor
Allison Silverman, writer/executive producer
Andrea Wong, President and CEO, Lifetime Networks
The Loreen Arbus Award for Those Who Take Action & Affect Change
Chicken & Egg Pictures
Congratulations to all of them!

I wonder...is Chicken & Egg honoring writing? Perhaps they need to do grammar check, not just spell check on their award name...before it ends up all over Google and Blogs. Effect is a noun, Affect would be the verb...Hmmmm maybe they are changing Effect...? I'm not sure what that means. Would any writer be truly honored by an award that is so thoughtless? Glamorous! And dubious!
Good catch, "Anonymous."
I've changed it here.
To clarify, though, Chicken & Egg was the honored not the honoring.
Cheers.
Yes, I figured that out after a little Google search. So odd that an award honoring a company that honors storytellers would misuse its own title. Whatever, no biggie. I just can't imagine who really takes these things seriously.
