3rd Annual WIFV Screenwriters Conference


I have the pleasure of once again presenting at the WIFV Screenwriters Conference. I hope all of you will consider attending this wonderful event.

WIFV 3rd Annual Screenwriters Conference
October 17 – 19, 2008
George Washington University, Washington, DC.
Begins with screening of Under the Same Moon and Q&A with screenwriter Ligiah Villalobos on October 17. A full day of workshops on Saturday will hone your craft and build your skills. The Conference culminates in full day of script critiques and pitches to producers on Sunday.

SATURDAY

Final Draft screenwriting software demo.

Marilyn Horowitz will present How to Write a Screenplay in 10 Weeks and How to Write a Logline.

Laura Scheer, Media Consultant will present Master Your Pitch and How to Pitch for Feature Films and Reality.

Ligiah Villalobos featured Screenwriter/Producer of UNDER THE SAME MOON will present The Structure of the Television Script and Keeping Your Eye on the Ball.

James Grady novelist/screenwriter (Three Days of the Condor) will present
How to Write a Thriller.

Carole Dean, From the Heart Productions, will moderate Financing Alternatives.

SUNDAY

A panel of invited producers will discuss their experiences and responsibilities they have to their writer's material, director, crew and financial partners.

They will be taking pitches and critiquing the first five pages of screenplays on a first come first serve basis.

Carole Dean will present a day long workshop How to Finance Your Film
